for like the last 15 years the mainstream opinion was that it's the currency of the future. meanwhile this shit doesn't even make sense as a currency. it's basically a stock based on nothing.

if it was a currency i could go into a store and buy a rake or gatorade or whatever. it's been like 30 years and you still can't do that. why? say you own a pizza shop and you accept btc. sell pizzas for $10. by accepting btc you have effectively put your pizzas on the stock market. fucking opening a pizza place is a gamble and accepting btc is a double gamble.

this shit is all going to crash and burn. i used to be a firm believer in crypto but it has been too long and it's going nowhere.

sold all my crypto two weeks ago for 50k. my bro has ~400k in crypto and i'm trying to convince him to hop out but he's in the crypto cult.

tf am i supposed to do with this shit? i can't go to 7-11 and buy a gatorade with btc. transaction time takes forever and what store would accept btc? like if you're a store owner and you want to sell a gatorade for btc you're essentially gambling. if the price goes down you just lost money on a fucking gatorade for no reason. businesses will never accept crypto in the same way they don't accept stocks as payment. i was once a true believer in crypto and own quite a bit but now i'm thinking this shit will never work. yea yea stable coins but all the other shit that has wild fluctuations is basically worthless. it's just nerds moving money around.
