They look really good at tabletop distance lol. I've been fiddling a lot with my faster style (super clean takes too long). Fine details are great and all but they get washed out and muddy at a distance.

I leave my minis within sight of my desk in between painting sessions and gauge what I need to do based on that.

Is it possible you're viewing a blown up picture that's much larger than the model is irl?
