I find that I'm only good at maintaining friendships when I can at the very least VC with the person, hang out, or something similar, and with how little that ends up happening, I also tend to be kinda bad at maintaining them.
But, that could also be partially due to not clicking...
I don't necessarily have to meet up with anyone. I mean, it'd be ideal if it happened. But that seems distant, far off into the future. Right now, I genuinely would be happy with things just staying online. It's more fulfilling than anything I could have with the kind of people I see in the real world. Not because they're bad or anything. But because they just simply are too different.

It's a bad issue. In fact /soc/ is so bad, it feels like a whole different world in there. I cannot take that. It's taking all the bad from normie life and amplifying it to it's worst form. The place intrinsically repels anyone who's worth it away without much effort.
So, I agree. People should be more open to looking here, instead of shaming it so much. They don't know how bad it is in the places where you're encouraged to look.
