Granted! Mother Gaia will awaken from her slumber, witness what humans have done to the earth, and restore it, as well as curse the humans who did this (all of them as far as she cares), and go back to sleep before anyone can explain the nuance of it to her or plead.
However, this isn't quite a rapture level event. Sure, roads are fucked, and green covers everywhere humans robbed the earth of it, from familiar, to new, alien plants, some being intelligent, like her dryad guardians and alraune. However, certain things are left well enough alone to restore in time, such as communication networks and power grids, though you'll be stuck with biomass and thermal energy to power them... fossil fuels have been turned back into plants, you can't be trusted with it.
Speaking of things turned back into plants? Gaia is a firm mother when she needs to be, but humans are still her children too, even if they're more... pet like, to their plant overlords nowadays. You can try to rise up against the dryads, sure, but they can sense you coming a mile away and turn metal into wood, and as fae creatures, fucking and cursing transgressors is common for them. It's not wise to try them, it's better to stay on their good side...
I'm sure you're asking, won't this sudden infrastructure failure lead to death from hospitals failing, food going bad, and climate control leaving people in deserts to burn and freeze to death? Shockingly... no. Gaia will take responsibility for humans ending up "disadvantaged", and imbue each with forms necessary for survival.
Every human will become some kind of plant (or fungus) hybrid with no complications, overseen by divine forces to ensure there are no oversights. People in dry climates will adapt to be like desert plants with very large "water reserves", people in tropical climates may become a variety of things, humans may bud or lay seeds instead of give "normal" birth, and you can all get your sustenance from the new, fresh dirt.
