Yeah. There's a lot of crazy, esoteric mechanics that involve breaking the game to complete some of the real out-there quest lines. Beating the final boss of this game for the first time is practically when the tutorial stops and the real game begins. I'd be surprised if you've even made it past Hiisi Base at 30h in. A lot of those mechanics won't be relevant to your runs until your goal is no longer just making it to the bottom.

I've only ever had a problem with this game specifically and even then it's only because the file size can get too big for the cloud to handle.
