I wanted to maybe add some more flair to the iron/steel finish. I was wondering if they also had parts of armour that were black for example or even yellow. Sort of like how imperial fist vets have black shoulder pads and helmets.

I’ve got some pretty basic ideas and those shoulder pads are a bit more inspiration, I don’t just want everyone with the classic hazards, I’d like a mix of one stripe, a few, maybe a vertical line of yellow instead.

I don’t know I just feel like I want to experiment, I was thinking of using contrast paints to very slightly tint the armour like a filter maybe a dark blue maybe green? Here’s an example, this guy isn’t just silver he’s tinted and the heraldry isn’t just stripes. I want to move away from the clean kinda 40K painting and really give my guys some character you know? I’m rambling anon sorry
