For me, it's the scale of the damage they caused. S*ny's policies hit the industry like the KT meteor hit the dinosaurs. They all but singlehandedly ended the production of Japanese moe ecchi games outside of a couple hang ons and ports of older games. Yeah, Valve and Nintendo deserve criticism for adopting the same policies, but they aren't the reason Senran Kagura stopped getting games after 2018 or why Compile Heart games past 2020 almost completely lack any ecchi fanservice. What Valve and Nintendo have done is still incomparable to the sheer amount of blood on S*ny's hands, who obliterated an entire pseudo-genre of games and instigated an industry-wide shift all on their own.
