It's not my favorite era of anime but the initial explosion of digital in the early 00's has more variety than now or any other time. The barrier to entry was lower and the market (late night and the dvr) was blue water. We've consolidated quite a lot along the lines of what do the production committee members fund, what works commercially is a much more known quantity. It's a much more mature market and the shows all reflect that. These days we're even below the absolute peak of anime in the sense of how many minutes of animation are being made each season.

I actually know what I like and know that it's hard to find in modern anime. It's low hanging fruit but the spastic action direction of modern shounen is not what I like in a battle shounen, for example.
Another example I see old Japanese industry heads throw around quite frequently, if you're the type that enjoyed more loose manga adaptations, where the episode director had a lot of creative leeway: You're not eating so good these days.
In a more personal to me sense, and I think something slightly older /a/ shared, if you're really a fan of original anime this really isn't a great era for you either.

Yeah it's ani-white but the chickens are coming home to roost. And no amount of me defending the kikes is going to make them reverse course on 80 years of post war anti-white propaganda. They'll keep pushing it.
The kikes decided to subvert South Africa while ostensibly supporting them. The kikes created the very paradigm of anti-white thought that's now turning on them.
I have no sympathy for them and beyond that let me reiterate, no amount of supporting Israel now will strategically change my own future. My own self interest isn't served by trying to magically draw a line in the sand now on the kikes behalf because they'll go right the fuck back to screaming how they're somehow the exception to the rule and how they aren't colonialists or "white" or whatever. What the kikes will never, ever, do is turn the propaganda machine around to say actually Western Imperialism and Settler Colonialism is great and culturally we should all appreciate it more.
