Autobots are always more dull than Decepticons, so they were never the draw of the series to me

That being said, I don't get why some people hate the 86 cast so much. Yeah, childhood nostalgia and bias is one thing, but on an objective level people tend to say they're lesser characters but idk if I agree with that......

Like who even are the "main cast" prior? TF switched out characters too much for any of them to get much development. Wheeljack? Prowl? Ratchet? etc etc Just kinda typical characters based on cliches, just like the 86 Autobots. Only ones besides Prime I can say ever really felt that noteworthy to me were Iron Hide and Bumblebee
