I don't know, Shaoji and Fanchuan have always had a penchant for fucking up the endings of stories so I don't have that much faith in them. Though yeah there has been a plot device that "fixes" stuff but to their credit, it's always been there since the very start and we saw that even the shape of the planet looks like this.

I kind of see it like Elysian Realm though because we knew from the start that every flamechaser died 50k years ago so the ending of the story was set in stone but it was still an enjoyable story.
