But no, instead, we’re supposed to believe that Winifred, after 10 YEARS, is just so motivated by this trauma that she becomes a mercenary because of it. Oh, sure, whatever. That’s just the worst origin story. How did she train? What did she learn? I mean, she can’t be that great if she still gets her ass handed to her by Gwen. So now, after a whole decade of pent-up hatred, the moment Gwen and Winifred finally meet again, what happens? They’re suddenly best friends with a common goal? What?! Gimme a break.

And here’s where the plot really jumps off the deep end. “Hey, let’s have a fight! And at the end of it, they’ll just learn to understand each other and be friends!” Because nothing screams epic showdown like characters with zero chemistry forced to reconcile in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Talk about lackluster storytelling. Who asked for this? Was the entire "rivalry" just built to make you feel like you’ve spent an hour grinding for a meaningless, convoluted clash? This is dumb. REAL dumb.

So, now we get to the crux of the issue, and it’s just an absolute mess of terrible logic. Gwen, the person who attacked Winifred’s home, is remorseful because she killed someone to protect her sister. And you know what? I actually buy this. She’s a killer. She’s remorseful. Fine. But that doesn’t make Winifred’s hate justified. The real kicker is that Gwen spends the next 10 years carrying around this guilt while Winifred holds onto the grudge for 10 years like a toddler with a broken toy. FOR A DECADE. And it’s supposed to be this big, powerful emotional conflict, but I just sit there thinking: "Why do I care?"
