Inevitably with separation you get pleasure and pain, winners and losers, predator prey (LHP type dynamics to varying degrees). All possibilities of experience exist- very good, very bad, and middling/mediocre.
You can't stop that (i.e. that some beings think too negatively too long and get themselves into a hell of a mess)
The good thing is that limitation is self imposed and can be self-unimposed. You can't change what exists overall metaphysically, but you can change what you experience in your reality.
Also it's a game. How bored would you get living in God mode with unlimited power? Wouldn't you want to switch to survival/hardcore at some point for fun? Darkness is just your unconscious mind enforcing the rules on you that you previously setup.
The fall (descending into samsara) is just entering the game, to be followed by, sooner or later, by the Prodigal son's return or the resurrection (returning to the father/God).
