If you like JRPGs, definitely check out Quartet
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1307960/Quartet/

This is retro JRPG with some Octopath Traveler style branching stories; only a small bit of one story is playable in the demo (aside from a prologue of sorts), but its very well made. One of the mechanics of the turn based combat is that you can actively swap your reserve characters during battle! They teach it to you in one of the encounters, where none of your attacks are working on an enemy until you swap a character who has one capable of doing so. All the characters, in or out of your combat group get XPs; these devs are good at cutting down tedious shit, but can still build challenging encounters. The story and setting is also interesting; I'm curious where they're going to go with it.

The devs, Something Classic, are particularly based, were supporting Linux back when it was less common, and overall make (and produce) some solid titles. Their big previous game was Shadows of Adam which is one of the better retro JRPGs (also worth playing and dirt cheap now) and they put effort into it, including a DLC expansion w/ NG+, optional super dungeon/superboss, among other new content; they also have a 90s style digital strategy guide which is neat. Based on SoA alone and my interactions with the devs coming to Linux gaming sites to ask for people to test etc.. its the kind of thing I want to support, but even without all that Quartet seems to stand on its own merits so give it a shot
