i think that modern electrical lighting and stuff has somewhat lessened the conscious impact of lunar cycles on humans, but it can be quite noticeable with wildlife if you're way out in the country
a bit of extra light through the night can make a big difference for all the wild critters, things always seemed to be more active than during dark new moons
