I've been reading him all my life, and I'm honest enough to acknowledge that he hasn't always put out masterpieces, and there are certain quirks of his writing that I'm not a fan of (and which are even easier to see through 2025 eyes). But yeah I love him. I lived in CT for 9 years and he was definitely in my head when I visited certain locales.
