Tbh I would not be surprised if their interaction in Unmasked was mostly fanservice, since Kubo is a known troll/teaser when it comes to this stuff. I guess it not making sense with the manga timeline does give credence to your argument. It's still pretty cute though and it's a real shame we ended up with worthless jobbers like Harribel alive instead of having a much more interesting and popular character like Ulquiorra stick around.
