This seems like a filler relationship. Not in the sense that you guys use one another to get over an ex like a rebound, but rather it's something that doesn't bring either of you excitement, where you stay together just because you feel it's a better alternative to splitting apart and having to start fresh? Like you're so busy with other aspects of your lives that having to start over with love just feels like more trouble than it's worth. There's no real romance here after the initial spark that drew you together, it's all just complacence. You'll feel secure in the relationship simply because neither of you really brings up the glaring issues in the relationship, but you can certainly feel them.
In the relationship however, it feels as if your partner seems picture perfect. Kind and gentle, sees things over with an air of fairness about them but still has strong boundaries, and they also are quite responsible and chase what they want in life. But the high priestess isn't exactly the most romantic person in the deck. Despite possessing a feminine warmth to her, it's extremely impersonal. She loves all things, but she does not hold any one person particular dear. While she does hold a masculine counterpart in the deck with the Hierophant, these two are religious figures, therefore bound to celibacy due to their divine duties. A lover to all is a lover to none. And that's the situation you find yourself with with this person. You're able to look away from other issues in the relationship and tell yourself this person is loving, but the love you're witnessing is just their personality. Dig deeper, and it's quite impersonal and cold, which causes the coldness in the relationship. There's love PRESENT, but not necessarily being given directly.
