Miller's Planet is so fucking stupid it's unreal
>Brand and Doyle somehow don't see the wave when they first exit the ranger
>Nobody saw the wave during the landing
>They have to physically retrieve the black box and have no way to just download the data from orbit
>Brand somehow knows exactly where the data is despite the beacon being separated from it and no further wreckage being visible above the waterline
>Brand (and Doyle) go to physically retrieve it instead of just sending CASE
