Here is a truth. If you have never been in a street fight:
Any kind of training will help you. But the most important thing they teach in formal training is how to deescalate most situations.
If neither person has training, whoever lands the first blow will likely win.
If someone is crazy, chances are they will win or hurt the opponent.
No matter how good you are, if you get in enough fights you will lose.
If you fight by some set of rules, you have a much higher chance of losing or getting hurt.
I had no training. I got in a number of fights. I won a couple, lost a couple. I quickly learned fighting was for those who did not care about themselves. You do it enough you will end up in jail or badly hurt/dead.
I had friends who were very good street fighters. I had friends with training. The ones who got in fights all eventually lost, most got badly hurt during a fight at some point. The friends with training avoided the fights as much as possible. They only fought when cornered.
The street fighters would fight for any slight, imagined or real.
And if you pick fights in this day and age, you are playing Russian roulette. If the guy on the other side has a gun or knife, you can very quickly die, The movies make it seem like you can disarm someone. Even with training, you are will most likely die if you try to disarm a person with a gun or knife.

Question. Why do people want to be ripped when they’re destined to become a lot weaker over time?
It’s a lot more advantageous to work on experience, cunning, overall quality of life, etc.
Doesn’t matter how strong you are when someone stabs you in the jugular and you bleed out like a bitch. Accidents happen. Circumstance and coincidence kills.
Even someone significantly weaker than you, can kill you, using basic sense. It doesn’t matter how strong you are.
