As a MIC glowie I got to sit in on a B2 pilot’s presentation. These sandwiches a a big deal. He had a graph of his heart rate a mission duration, peppered by times he breaked for a sandwich. Any time his heart rate started peaking he would eat half a Sammy and his heart rate would go down. Particularly useful when entering enemy territory.

It was surprisingly human. The Sammy’s are now considered mission critical
