They are the Chinese equivalent of scientology. Their cult was banned in China so they actively spread anti-CCP disinformation and propoganda. It's also the reason why you still see illegal Chinese migrants coming here, like the lower class FOTB kind, not the visa university student kind that will leave after getting their degree. They are Falun Gong members coming to America with sponsorship from other members here.

I also have a suspicion they are getting some RFA (Radio Free Asia) funding from some cursory research but this is still a theory.
