desu I think it was a slip up where they used the Endor map in the trailer but intended for it to be ambiguous enough so you wouldn't connect the dots, then some idiot left the AT-ST model out in the corner of the shot. There's not really any other way to explain it because with Star Wars they'd almost certainly officially announce the thing with a lot of fanfare.
It's not the first time Square have accidentally given things away in their trailers either. I remember they edited Ventus out of the Keyblade Graveyard scene in the trailer after people spotted him in the background just slightly. But with the Star Wars thing idk if people noticed it immediately and maybe Square felt removing it might just confirm it even more so they left it.
