I can assure you, as a Sonicfag, Sonic is a mary sue, it's one of the many big problems I have with how the series is handled by Sega and Sonic Team.
He always makes the right calls, he's inherently super talented at everything, his morals are completely immune to degradation, etc.
Superman at least has major character flaws like him having to pretend to be someone he's not for most of his life, him fearing his own strength destroying the people he cares so much about and him being severely poisoned by the last pieces of the lost civilization he came from and longs for belonging with.
