>FFIX allowed you to gain abilities from items, E33 has that as well. Missing triplie triad does not mean that it is not a spiritual successor to the JRPG format.
spiritual successor =/= have some common feature, do you know how many games have this feature? unless you think TOCA race driver is the spiritual successor of Gran Turismo because they both have multiple racing leagues inside lol.
>Your stats matter quite a lot, the fact that a skilled player can avoid damage if they are very skilled doesn't change that fact.
You are literally contradicting yourself, the stats doesn't matter much if you can dodge/parry everything, many tactical decision can literally be skipped by simply being good at parry, therefore, nobody will really take the time to push those to the limits because they will always lag behind your motor skills.
>You are just trolling at this point if you don't think E33 has impressive graphics and visual style lmao
I literally posted other games released 10 years ago (and more) with WAY better TECHNICAL and VISUAL style.
How can you say it's impressive when everything is put into a massive volumetric fog with shit tons of assets slop. Pic rel, while being a production shot, show at least a beautiful world to explore, back in 2001.
