Heres the real contrarian opinion:
No zelda game after Alttp is "true zelda" formula
As much as oot and wind waker babies like to cry that botw is not zelda
Oot from the get go is not fucking zelda
Zelda is about exploration, not a linear movie like game like OoT is.
LA technically also counts but LA is just worse alttp so fuck that.
Majoras Mask might be the last true zelda game, due to its change of focus from OoT but unironically Botw and Totk despite being dogshit are closer to true zelda than shit like Skyward is.
