I found VV super fucking boring.
same with SH2.
Atlus ditched the depressing, darker visual atmosphere of earlier SMT games for putting neon lights and sheen everywhere and i don't think the "open world" design of VV suits it either.
Also the homogenization of persona and SMT demon designs has made them less distinguishable imo.
also to many of Doi's designs are just generic sexy women in cosplay

i literally just want a classic 2D castlevania with nice sprite artwork.
knowing game trends nowadays it will be a non-linear exploratory styled game.
part of me is hoping that the haunted castle re-imagining was konami practicing for another game in that style just as metroid prime remastered was retro's warm-up for the development of prime 4.

Honestly I think it's just too late for WB to pivot back to "Superman for Kids". Just too many movies behind him.
