Sugarcane barely grows in the US, only in the very deep south of Louisiana and Texas. Beet sugar is more abundant and cheaper but only grows in the Northwest. And corn (and s.oy) have been subsidized for a while now. These entitled cunt farmers have been given enough handouts. They make sweets companies forced to make their products unhealthier for muh GDP.

Because the corn subsidies and sugarcane tariffs aren't going away, I doubt they're going to start making regular Coke with real sugar. I'm guessing they're just going to start making their "Mexican Coke" (normally made with cane sugar and bottled in Mexico) in the US because of tariffs. It will just be an American-bottled real sugar variety like Pepsi has. They might switch to beet sugar if its cheaper.

If anyone's wondering, cane sugar and beet sugar should be the same health-wise. They're both just processed into pure sucrose. I'm not sure about pesticide content, though.
