Enraged it's chicken walk, into double dive kick, into double sweep.

Does this over and over again. I usually just roll directly away after blocking/rolling the first dive kick and that creates enough space for the wide sweep to whiff. If it catches you off guard, I think the trick is to pivot slightly and roll towards him and towards the side he's starting the swing from. Whenever I roll straight through him, I get hit by the backswing on the sweep.

For people having trouble with Tempered Steve, his spammed attack is pretty much always the same combo:
>slide kick
>slide kick
>fast swoop
>fast swoop

Then you can hit one of his ankles with a focus strike to get a short topple. You end up doing this sequence a lot:
>block/roll to the side
>block/roll to the side
>roll forward (to space the first swoop)
>block/offset/roll away

Still looking for a better counter to the massive dive bomb attack other than blocking or sheathe/emergency dive if you don't have EW/EE.
