It all depends on what kinda demon you got like did you get a child/teenage demon like gash and brago, an animal demon like umagon, or a straight up monster like gorm. I don't think it'd be any different than digimon or monster rancher except instead of taking care of multiple monsters it's just one, the series already has a progression system and story all laid out for a video game
