I checked the Japanese name of Lugia's sync move. I've never seen it before, and it's some old-fashioned poetic yojijukugo. 銀河倒瀉 (ginga tousha) means Galaxy/Milky Way (literally silver river) gushing/bursting forth. It's used to describe things like a magnificent waterfall or pouring rain, with the sort of image of an eruption from the ground in an arc.

Ethan doesn't have much going for him, which is a real shame. He's carried hard on being adapted from one of the most popular protagonists and being given the Pokémon he has (Typhlosion, Lugia, Ho-Oh), but he has little for actual story content because they're hesitant to really expand upon main characters.
