bureaucracy, this stereotype is actually way underrated by foreigners, I doubt hell has as much bureaucracy as Germanistan. If we were to build a barn we'd have to get 100 different approvals from 200 different offices/clerks and pay for 300 inspections only to get denied because the land is [insert dumbest reason you can come up with].

virtually never, I speak it with my mother and her side of the family though and I also studied some in uni before I changed majors. I enrolled in a program that helps exchange students from other universities to get to know Germany, lots of free sightseeing and traveling across the country paid by the uni, but the spanish speakers that I came across were all argentinian and spanish assholes so I pretended I could not speak the language and they left me alone.

I rarely do backgrounds, I like to focus on the animals/people like in a portrait, painting landscapes and especially water is something I'm not really practised in anyways. I only sketch around when classes are particularly boring.
