I like nest well enough, I think his brief crush on Filena speaks more to the delays the game had and the fact that it was being made before the novels had ended as apparently Nest gets together with a nurse character later in the LN. Maybe the devs thought he was going to have a bigger role with Filena and as time went on and that didn't happen they said fuck it, lets just go 100% with Lila then. Whatever happened behind the scenes it worked out well for the rest of us.
