Germanics were primitive farmers and hunter-gatherers. There wasn't that many of them, you can't sustain large population in colder climates on that.
Semitic populations south of Rome were old pastoralist and agrarian cultures inhabiting warm regions, some older than Rome itself. It is obvious to anyone who isn't a retard, that their population was orders of magnitude higher than those north of Rome, and the expansion of Romans resulted in them gradually becoming browner and browner on average.

That is, in case you didn't get the message from inhabitants of modern Italy looking more like some southerners and the main center of religion which came from Middle East being situated there. They don't look like Germans, and there is no seat of power belonging to a Germanic religion there.
