My guess what's going to happen is Sig is going to rework all the internals of the pistol and we will see a P320 Gen 2 by the end of the year. Sig will remain adamant that the current pistols were perfectly safe because the discharges couldn't be proved in repeated testing, so they get to deflect blame while also attempting to appear like they listen to their customers' demands. They'll upgrade/replace all private and contract pistols for free, keep their contracts, lose a lot of private customers, and in two decades with millions more new gun owners, nobody will even remember it enough to impact business.

Sig's general quality has been in the toilet for a decade now and people have continued to buy from them, so eventually this P320 controversy will blow over.
