Nobody would give a shit about Myth if Hololive didn't already establish itself via clippers despite having no support for global audience yet.
People flocked to Myth because "Hololive was finally going global," not because the 5 pngs on a static background were so enticing. Nobody even knew what they were going to be like.
Their popularity does not change significantly after they actually debuted. The only thing they needed to do was not failing miserably, which is a miracle when their members were far from ideal.
