How do you feel about the souls concept of poise and applying it to a normal fighting game? I was thinking about how some people hate hyper armor and how some people hate enemies that get hitstunned out of everything and how you could get the best of both worlds and came up with something that is unintentionally similar to souls poise. Now I didn't look into this but from what I remember at least in some soils games you have poise, which determines how resilient you are to being hitstunned and every enemy has a poise value as well and all attacks in the game deal poise damage, when your poise goes to 0 you get hit stunned.
I think if you applied this to an action game it could allow more knowledgeable players to find ways to prevent enemies from constantly hyper armoring through stuff if they utilize attacks that either deal enough poise vs that attack outright or to use multiple faster attacks to deplete enough poise too.
And then you add KH2 type revenge values on top. What do you fags think?
