No joke I can corroborate. I worked at a Domino’s for a few years through college up until a year ago, and we unironically outsource most of our phone orders to poos, as it’s cheaper to have them do it than hire more of us Americans to the store. And yes, the phone bot makes you listen to an ad for the app and a couple side dishes for a good 15 seconds before it even begins ringing the phone on our end. It’s brutal, but they do it to push you towards online self service portals to make you do the work instead of a paid employee.
