I am agnostic. I understand how you get your idea of "wahmen in the third world is oppressed" But your mistake is to compare the women in your country, to the ones living in said place.
What you should do instead, is to compare the men, and the women in said country. Let me give you an example from my own. Our oppressed women here, dont have to serve, while men have to. They get lifelong free healthcare, while guys have to pay unemployment tax(!)
Whenever you compare the leisure to responsibilities, no matter where it is, women almost always get a better deal. Restricted perhaps, but protected and taken care of.
Did i imply women being obedient, or was it a miscommunication? Anyway, you are talking about assemblywomen, i know it by heart.
