If you want to self-insert, the devs leave the opening for you to think that way.
Otherwise, Wise and Belle have distinct backgrounds and personalities.


The illusion only gets broken when the MC reveals knowledge that (You) don't have.
It was a big deal in Genshin 5.7.
People got mind broken because the MC dropped a backstory bomb that they knew, but the player did not.
And since apparently it's babby's first unreliable narrator, everyone got confused.
