This film is one of the hardest I've ever watched. There's absolutely no catharsis. No divine or even circumstantial comeuppance. Just nihilistic, sadistic misery for everyone involved. I felt like absolute shit after watching it for the first time and after showing it to a friend also felt like shit again after watching it.

The home invasion triple rape and murder scene is especially difficult to watch even if it's not as explicit as something like A Serbian Film. The overall atmosphere and blasé, casually dismissive attitude towards human life is hard to stomach.
