Assuming the wargear for consuls doesn't change I'm thinking of making a duelist champion with its paragon blade, plus a spear, plus a thunder hammer just so it can be prepared to square up on anyone.
Maybe I should try and convert some kind of bizarre combi-melee weapon for him but that wouldn't look as funny as physically carrying three weapons. And a combi melta.
