Yeah, Jinwoo is a strong character who knows how to become strong once he gets the means to do so, and very little else. Characters around him tend to be more interesting than him, and they get no focus. Aside from his sister, I found Cha to be cute! She was pretty girly for a strong character, and it didn't feel unfitting.

That seems to be a thing with Korean stories in general, I struggle to find stories where the character isn't too powerful, I once found a story where the entire gimmick is everyone believing a character is strong when actually he's like Satan, only for it to turn out he's one of the most powerful fighters around when his other chuuni personality takes over, and I dropped it by that point...
Solo Leveling seemed like it wouldn't take it too far given how hard he worked initially, but I knew he would become stronger than everyone eventually, but it was still disappointing how fast he became so powerful, and how irrelevant everyone who isn't Jinwoo is.

It just sucks when someone is a fan of a character more than the story, it means they're willing to break the unwritten rules for the character's benefit. Vegetafagging is pretty infuriating in that regard because if he doesn't get comeuppance for his attitude, he's an overpowered jerkass, so he's praised at the story's expense.
