Yeah, I didn't mention it in my complaints post but Basil in general is another issue I had with the game. I was on board when it felt like his problem was being forgotten and abandoned but him being central to the finale despite barely doing anything other than whining, faking a suicide for no apparent reason in a flashback and poking Sunny's fucking eye out made me really not give a shit about him.
Prior to the twist I was hoping the finale would be Sunny letting go of his grief in order to better help Basil with his (through some symbolic Headspace stuff of course) but the grandma stuff was just a springboard for the edgy things that I hated.

The way they balanced the two sides of the game was pretty interesting and I appreciate how they didn't feel the need to cut back on either setting too much but I feel like it probably divided a lot of people who liked one side better than the other.
