I really hate that extremes and savages have been getting harder over time, along with the widening gap between casual and hardcore content. I don't WANT to have to play perfectly for 14 minutes straight. I'd rather do faster easier content than stuff this difficult and long for.. the same amount of weeks, if not way more
while I'm whinging I also don't like how much tighter the DPS checks are, I much prefer how it felt in the first tier where every boss had a mechanic that you could skip with good DPS, rather than having to do good DPS to clear at all. That and how it's raising questions about whether or not certain jobs are 'viable' which should not be a conversation anyone is having about XIV outside of idk, week 1 ultimate.
Maybe making this sort of stuff less of a slog would turn away the hardcore raiders but I feel like you'll get more engagement if you make the content easier because lets face it those guys are gonna do it anyway, while lowering the barrier to entry makes it more accessible.
