>it seems really easy to do and yet nothing

Well like I said before. It’s not easy, I mean you could copy the formula but would it hit the same?
Mass Effect was a great game, a decent shooter mixed with RPG elements? Lovely. What could be easier to do? Especially if you have a nice, small team of people who determined to make it happen. And yet had anyone else tried to replicate it? You know the answer.
Because it would take actual effort, love and time to develop it. Even relatively talented studios have difficulties replicating their own success look at the Obsidian, for example, or BioWare, they have no clue what made their games good despite having all the necessary skills and experience.
You don’t want just to copy things, you need to give a bit of your soul in it to make it work and have a good amount of luck for it to be noticed.
Making a school sim waifu romancing dungeon crawler game just to… um, what exactly?
I hope you get the point.
And we all have the perfect image of a perfect (persona) game in our minds but it doesn’t mean it’s good enough for the market or your average consumer.
Don’t get me wrong you definitely should try to make a game if that’s what you want but don’t expect it to be played or even cared for by people, it could end up as yet another small quirky game on itch.io or any other place.
