Completely useless in p4. At least they are somewhat useful in the beginning of p3 and in p5 there are technicals. But in p4? Status ailments are basically useless, unless you're running some kind of extremely low level challenge run, which most aren't.

I would have expected you to argue that you should replace the single target with multi target since the ma save on SP. I mean, true. Buffs are good, but ma skills are better than single target in p4. Only in p3 are single target way better than multi due to how 1 mores work.

Yeah, I can see that basically any ability can be in my own Persona deck. I do indeed have most of those skills myself. But that's not really how I'm playing the game, I'm not using my turn to do everything. I'm only ever switching between 1-2 high level Personas for big damage. If it's your first persona game then I think that's fine, you will eventually learn how to manage the spells correctly. For me personally I had played P3 twice beforehand so I knew exactly what spells I needed in P4. Though the play style did differed ever so slightly because unlike P3F there's no lack of party control and looking back at it I was the jack of all cunt in P4, even though Yukiko had all the necessary healing spells I let her do all the damage because of that Magic creep at higher levels. At the end of the game I was mostly doing the debuffs and occasionally some damage so guess I was naturally inclined to that method. Conclusion? Yes I'm a complete slut el problemo?

I'm currently playing P3P for the first time. I'm playing as the femc as I don't think anyone in their right mind would play this game as Makoto. Anyhow, I'm really liking it so far. I thought the controls and visuals would be a lot worse during the social sim part, but it's surprisingly okay-ish. The audio is honestly cancer doe. And that is with the most popular mod installed that supposedly fixes the audio. Needless to say, there are problems remaining... Speaking of mods, I also installed the fanmade animated cutscnes for femc. They're pretty awkward. Granted, that isn't to say that the originals were perfect, but Kotone's movements are even moar awkward than Makoto's. Still, very impressive mod.

I'm playing on maniac. It's been a while since I last played FES on hard, but I honestly think this is slightly harder in some areas. Regular encounters are easy as shit. I'm defeating everything with ease. Hell, I'm using their weapons. Not personas. Weapons. On maniac. Yep. But for the floor guardians, man, they're rough. I've only (barely) cleared the first block. They're were tough as shit. In FES, they were easy, since all you had to do was stunlock them. But they removed that ability in portable. It no longer takes a whole turn to get up. Maybe the game gets easier later, but I honestly think maniac is harder than FES on hard when it comes to the floor guardians.

I have a lot more thoughts, but those are my main thoughts so far.

Also, it says "custom" because I set the EXP gain to normal instead of low, because fuck that.

Oh, yeah, one moar thing: Wiping All Out and Time are better than Mass Destruction and Want To Be Close. However, Master of Tartarus is way fucking better than Danger Zone.

The first two floor guardians (Venus Eagles and Dancing Hands) are really rough bc of the gameplay changes to make P3P play more like P4. You can't equip a bow on the protagonist so you have to rely on Yukari to hit her shots with low early game agility. The changes to the down system make the dancing hands much harder. You can't prevent the hands from acting so they will just get up and farm one mores off Junpei and Yukari.
