I'm currently playing P3P for the first time. I'm playing as the femc as I don't think anyone in their right mind would play this game as Makoto. Anyhow, I'm really liking it so far. I thought the controls and visuals would be a lot worse during the social sim part, but it's surprisingly okay-ish. The audio is honestly cancer doe. And that is with the most popular mod installed that supposedly fixes the audio. Needless to say, there are problems remaining... Speaking of mods, I also installed the fanmade animated cutscnes for femc. They're pretty awkward. Granted, that isn't to say that the originals were perfect, but Kotone's movements are even moar awkward than Makoto's. Still, very impressive mod.
I'm playing on maniac. It's been a while since I last played FES on hard, but I honestly think this is slightly harder in some areas. Regular encounters are easy as shit. I'm defeating everything with ease. Hell, I'm using their weapons. Not personas. Weapons. On maniac. Yep. But for the floor guardians, man, they're rough. I've only (barely) cleared the first block. They're were tough as shit. In FES, they were easy, since all you had to do was stunlock them. But they removed that ability in portable. It no longer takes a whole turn to get up. Maybe the game gets easier later, but I honestly think maniac is harder than FES on hard when it comes to the floor guardians.
I have a lot more thoughts, but those are my main thoughts so far.
Also, it says "custom" because I set the EXP gain to normal instead of low, because fuck that.
Oh, yeah, one moar thing: Wiping All Out and Time are better than Mass Destruction and Want To Be Close. However, Master of Tartarus is way fucking better than Danger Zone.

They also gave a lot of Personas growth passives so I didn't need to do much grinding desu. Griding normal battles is a bad strategy in Reload (even the base game). Just do as many of those monad doors as you can and you'll level up fast.

Just cleared the Cadia B13 boss, Giri hard carried the fight for me, honestly, most of those bosses are a joke, since they only have one or two affinities so certain fusions make you immune to all their bullshit.
Still, everyone does so little damage. Junpei was hitting for 85-ish while buffed and the enemy rakunda-ed, while Metis was doing around 180 when effective and 100 in neutral. Boss seemed to have around 3000-4000 health, which made the fight last forever.
That's my issue at this difficulty, fights are lasting too long

Then there was Hogwarts Legacy and I expected it to be good, an actually good game with the right mechanics because the setting is just perfect for something like Persona BUT nope it had the same problemsโฆ boring game with decent gameplay loop.
In fact those games are so boring and predictable that Iโve just dropped them.
