Yeah, you give a fuck. Everybody in this thread gives a fuck about the game you dumbass - well, except this guy >>1788336 - that's why we're here. You're conflating the lowest rungs of detractors with valid criticism.
All of the official channels for the game have long ensured any feedback is glazed (no pun intended) in a thick Lovely coating, lest you be banned or shadow-muted or face one of Lemmy's pity parties directly. Naturally, non-padded spaces like this flower with negative criticism or outright rants. It does drown out users who want a more casual/positive discussion about the game without getting derailed, so I can see where impassioned defenses to TIS' aid like yours are coming from.
That said, there's plenty to criticize about the game and its development without resorting to hyperbolics to portray Lemmy as wholly incompetent or malicious. They've made a lot of grand promises, mistakes and a lot of money, their playerbase of customers wanting some measure of accountability, transparency or simply the right to bitch about it to each other isn't arrogance.
Players know when a game is frustrating, boring, broken, or fails to meet its own stated goals. PZ excels in a lot of places but there's still tons of issues, some of which it has had for years and with seemingly no end in sight due to the moratorium on Thursdoids. Appealing to relativism and saying it's something to be grateful for is bike cuck tier.
And of course nobody is going to bootstrap their way into becoming master programmers, eventually achieving the product they already paid for and are waiting on themselves, the same way you wouldn't re-pivot your life to getting an engineering degree so you could rewire the garage once. It's actually pretty ~rational~ for anyone who isn't some Notch-esque millionaire genius that truly holds the ability, resources and autistic desire to implement the NPCs they promised.
