completely right. i immediately stop paying attention to a game when i see it trying to be a soulslike. even if all of those games listed had their problems, there was variety. video games are so creatively bankrupt these days. nobody can make anything new. just copy old methods of games design and coat them in performance guzzling graphics that look worse which are then sold as features.
