I just made a Patreon today and was shocked at how easy it was. Far easier than setting up a Coinbase account, far easier than setting up a Gmail account, easier than setting up an Instagram account. They didn't ask for my banking info, they didn't ask for my phone number, they didn't ask for a photo of my passport, they didn't ask for a selfie. It was like making an email account before the internet became so cancerous.

I thought for sure it would take me an hour. Took more like five minutes.
