You have a very confused and internet-influenced perception of how most trans people live and act. The surgical aspect is rare and only really exists in the public consciousness because of fuckin South Park. I agree that a lot of them seem to take traditional gender roles a bit too seriously, but nobody's trying to equate biological sex and gender. It's about presentation and identity and ultimately feeling comfortable/happy with who you are and what you show of yourself to other people.
